1987 TO PRESENT: Abbott Laboratories. Barceloneta, Puerto Rico.

1990 - Present

Communication Section Manager.

Responsible for the design, installation and management of Voice and Data.

Proposed and implemented the upgrading of connectivity to the AS400 with Fiber Optic Backbone; carried out upgrading within time and cost budget with no interruption of service.
Implemented T1 Multiplexing to Corporate offices.
Design, supervise and start up of Voice and Data Communication Systems for new Abbott Chemical Plant.

1987 - 1990
Engineering Section Manager.

Joined Company as Instrumentation Engineer. Promoted to Manager within 6 months. Managed the Power, Communication and Instrumentation Projects for different Abbott Divisions (over 3MM). Supervised projects such as Microvax for Utility Provox, IBM System 38 Expansion, AS-400 for ADI, Maintenance Inventory System for ADI and ACI Local Area Vax Cluster.

1987 - 1975 : Honeywell Inc. San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Engineering Supervisor.

Supervised the engineering Department. Interfaced the engineering requirements of Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing Plants with the Instrumentation and Control Design. Provided Computer Systems support to offices in other countries. Involved in the Direct Digital Control development team.

1975 - 1972 : University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.

Manager Electrical Division.

Developed and maintained complete electrical distribution from high voltage substation to building.
Supervised 50 non-exempt employees.
