At 21:17Z on March 12, 2003, Daphnne passed quietly out of this world. Soon after this photograph was taken on April 24, 1999, we discovered cancer in her left foot and she had a toe amputated. In June, 1996 she had had her beautiful tail removed for the same reason.

Nonetheless, she was an incredible trooper and amazing companion. Never before on God's beautiful planet had I met a creature with as big a heart as this dog. She walked up to our door one nasty, drizzly night, just before Christmas, 1995. Who would give up such a beautiful loving creature? God gave us to her to let her live out the remainder of her life in peace. Now she's gone home.

In my life, I've never had a more loyal, loving canine friend.
