One of the members of the North Georgia QRP Club posted the following comment on the list: "A clean work area means less time on your hands and knees looking for wayward parts." To which, I promptly posted: "Which is why I have grubby knees and end up buying lots of parts..." Another member followed up with:
I think it might be time for NOGA comittee to have a suprise "Tour of
Shacks" with digital cameras to record some of the disorganization (and
mess) that we can find in our shacks. Maybe put the TOP Worst Three NOGA
members pixs on the Web Page for all to see.

The gauntlet has been tossed down! Just how much stuff can you cram into a ham shack just 5' by 10'? This is where I do all of my amateur radio construction AND operating! Had an average person bought our house, they would have thought this was just a dirty old closet, but to me it had real POTENTIAL! |
