Welcome to the KN6XX homepage!

I was first licensed as KN7BNP (novice) in 1957. I have held calls: K7BNP, TF2WFL (Iceland), WA4SML, WA9RIE, WB6NTD, KE6BCG, and KN6XX.

After eleven years as a fighter pilot in the USAF, I went to work with United Airlines in 1965. Retirement was in 1995 which gives me more time for ham radio. I fly for pleasure now in my Vari-Eze homebuilt experimental aircraft.

Ham activities now include 80, 40, 20, and 2 meters. I'm looking forward to the band openings forecast for the next few years.

Here's a picture of the Boeing 747 that I flew for the last three years before retirement. It is also my QSL card.

And this is my 23 year old Vari-Eze. Here I'm flying just south of Livermore, CA.
