Warheit. We are located in the southern part of Armstrong
County along the Allegheny River at an elevation of 768 feet. Freeport,
which is 23 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, has a population of 2000. Our
station operates on 160m, 80m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m
and 70cm on SSB, CW, FM, SSTV, RTTY, PSK31 and the other digital modes.

Want to try out RTTY and SSTV. What you need is MMTTY
and MMSSTV. These are FULL
FEATURED freeware software packages
for both sending and receiving RTTY and SSTV
without any fancy hardware. Your computer sound card is used. To be able to
transmit, a simple interface is needed. All of the parts are available from
your local Radio Shack dealer or use the RIGblaster interface as I do.

It is interfaced with a Kenwood TS-700SP all mode radio using a RIGblaster on a VHF simplex frequency using Echolink SYSOP software and a UHF control link.
MMX 233MHZ w/256MB RAM, 2GB hard drive, 4X4 CDROM, 17" monitor and a Lexmark Z53 printer. This computer is used for web surfing, mapping and satellite tracking and is running WISP software.
