KM6CQ Mobile H.F. Antenna.

Notice this antenna comes off in seconds by backing off the
top wing nut on the pipe clamp and pulling out the bottom
bolt and wing nut on the L bracket. This will
work 80-10 meters without a tuner.
Now for some advice. When you set up your antenna system do not cut corners. Do everything right the first time. I would also suggest that Penetrox or a equivalent type of oxidation guard be used on all connectors, mounts and hardware. I have found that "G.E. silicon 2" works very well to seal out the weather. H.F. antennas are not set and forget. They require periodic cleaning, maintenance and adjustment. That's all part of the fun of it unless your like my friend who out of total frustration pulled the screwdriver antenna off his truck and then threw it on the ground and ran over it with his big rig and then backed over it just to make sure he got it. Only to discover a intermittent speaker plug. Oh well.. Special thanks to Don Johnson W6AAQ for his contributions made to Amateur radio over the years and specifically to his invention of the DK3 Screwdriver antenna which is without a doubt the most copied antenna on the market today by both manufactures and home-brewers. Tnx Don.. Well have fun with it and send me a picture of your setup.
Best Regards, Dan
