I first became a ham radio operator as a novice in 1963 with the call of WN6DNB with the excellent support of other ham radio operators in Palo Alto California. I became very active in ARES and my local club. I especialy liked Field Day on top of Mt Hamilton near San Jose. The old days firmly imprinted me with ham radio and I am sorry it took me almost 37 years to get my ticket back. I am not starting over and have great expectations for the future.

Since I now have my tech ticket I expect to become very in 6 meter DX and once I get my code completed I am going to get started in HF DX and QRP. I still love to build, sort of like of the old Heathkit days.
