KJ6VU repeater and remote base controller
Here are the prototype boards...
CPU Board
-
CPU
-
Supports 4 radios
-
32 inputs, 16 outputs, to control 4 radio interface boards. The CPU
takes in DTMF decoder, COR and PL inputs from each radio interface board.
The outputs are PTT, Tx audio mute and something else I forgot.
-
One IDC jumper bridges to the audio mixer hub board and provides the switching
control for the audio paths.
Radio Interface Board
-
Optional CPU - only used in distrubuted processing mode
-
Audio in/out buffers, tx audio mute control, squelch audio gate, Micor
squelch (7716) chip, dial tone generator, MX-Comm MX-465 PL encoder/decoder,
8870 DTMF decoder and level set op amp.
-
The radio board provides all buffering
-
One 10 pin IDC jumper bridges to the audio mixer hub board.
Audio Hub Board
-
Top half of the board is a completely programmable 4x4 audio switching
matrix controlled by a 16 bit shift register programmed by the CPU board
to select any receivers to any transmitters.
-
The bottom half was an afterthought to add an ISD audio record/playback
module.
Power Supply Board
-
Top half of the board...
-
+12 volts in from power suppy or battery
-
+5v and +10v out to all the boards.
-
Bottom half of the board...
-
Extra CPU for diagnostic testing such as audio sweeping a receiver.
