This web site is a source
of information for other lunatics who share a common
interest in amateur radio and enjoying the outdoors. My radio interests include
building and operating linked repeater systems, HF portable SSB, QRP CW and
PSK-31. I enjoy camping, backpacking and
day hiking. So what would be better
than combining these interests? I spend
more time cooking up new building
projects than actually operating but the fun is in the journey. This web site
Includes various radio projects, great reference links
and other cool stuff that
I hope you will find useful. If you have
any comments drop me an email.

My latest favorite quote…
“It's pretty safe to say that backpackers and
hams are gear nuts.
If it's smaller, lighter or more powerful, it has to be better than
what you already have.”
