About Me...

Roanoke, Va is my place of birth (1956). My father was a Marine RADAR technician in the South Pacific theater and brought that knowledge home to start a Radio/Television repair business. Thats where my interest and love of electronics come from. I can remember sitting at his side as he was building Heathkit test equipment and hed pause to show me how to identify the leads of a transistor when I was 6. The smell of Kester 60/40 solder is almost like cologne to me! In Junior High I was repairing and modifying guitar amplifiers for local wannabe Hendrixs. The following decades would find me working as a bench technician, field service and Help Desk support.
I was married for 12 years to a wonderful Jersey girl who I sadly lost to cancer. No children but Ive had a small army of Pug Dogs to bring a smile at the end of a tough day.
Hobbies in addition to Amateur Radio include target and combat shooting, automobile repairs, household repairs, graphic design and practical jokes.

Spending time with my Dad. 1961
