       Hello my name is Victor and I am originally from Philadelphia, PA. Over the last 20 years my wife and I have lived in New Orleans, Tulsa, and Rochester, NY. Now, Alpharetta, Georgia, is our home. We love it and here we plan to stay.

I am new to amateur radio but I have been a short wave listener since 1982. It just took me a long time to decide I wanted to have a two-way conversation. My motivation was to get involved in ARES and my local CERT organization. Sometime in the future I would like to expand my participation to both RACES and MARS. For now I plan to take it one step at a time.

I've joined a few of the local amateur radio clubs and there will be more about them in the Interests section along with some of my other hobbies.
