THE bug

 

This is THE actual bug used on 2 Sept 1945 loaned to us by the Maritime Museum of Monterey for use during this 60th Anniversary special event.

Eddie (W7GMH) operating and Ned (KH7JJ) doing logging duty. Eddie was stationed onboard the USS Missouri during July-August, 1945! He was transferred to Guam prior to the surrender as part of the fleet forming up for the invasion of Japan.
