1981 I became infected with hf. The virus was the short-wave-club "Schwalmtal".

1990 the DARC gave me the SWL-sign DE3KWS, then the infection became stronger as I listen more and more to the ham-bands.
 
My mentor was Felix, DL8OBC and 1995 I could made my first QSO as DH4JQ. Many thanks again Felix for all your hints and lessons.

Now I'm using an ICOM IC756 on hf with an Windom for 10 to 80 m  FD4 and a 3 element Beam for 20,15 and 10 FB33 both from Fritzel.

On 2 and 70 I use an YAESU FT8000.
Packet is made with a modified c-net mobile-telefon ATF2. A kit was designed by some dutch hams from  Süd Limburg .

My logging is done by a very fine program R25, developed by the DARC-affiliated club Leichlingen DOK R25, which meets all my special award hunting like 10-X and US-county.
