We have lived in Port Angeles since 1981. Karen was born and grew up in Port Townsend; Tom was born in Chicago and grew up in Seattle. We met at Seattle University and married in 1970; and moved to Washington, DC in 1972. Our arrival in Port Angeles in 1981 was our return home.

Karen is a Novice, callsign KA7REN. She was first licensed in 1971, as WN7RKY. She is a member of the ARRL and the OTC.

She is active solely on 222 MHz FM.

Tom is an Extra, callsign KG7U. He was first licensed in 1971, as WN7RKZ, and has been continuously licensed ever since. He is a member of the ARRL; OTC; RCC; and the Royal Order of the Wouff Hong.

He is primarily active on 222 MHz FM, and also 2 meter and 70 cm FM, and 10 m SSB.

We both belong to the Westcoast Amateur Radio Association, located in Victoria, BC, Canada; just to the north across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. ( http://www.islandnet.com/hamradio/.)
