In the San Francisco Bay area communities of Fremont and Union City, CERT Comm volunteers are Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)  members who have obtained additional skills in emergency communication.
In a disaster CERT Comm members will assist their Teams by providing communication between their district's Incident Command Post and their city fire department's Field Operation Center. They will also maintain communication between any Search and Rescue teams their district deploys and the Incident Command Post.
Resources to help CERT Comm members improve their skills can be found on these pages.
