Training Classes
CERT Comm offers several training classes in basic radio operation and emergency communication. The current class schedule can be opened in a new browser window.
Click here for class details and schedules.

Workshops

Software TNC. Get into packet radio without spending $170 for a TNC! In this workshop you will build a "software TNC". This simple $25 device, plus free downloaded software, will allow you to connect any computer running Windows 95 (or better) and a sound card to a ham radio.
  • Send an E-mail [email protected] if you are interested in this workshop. If there is enough interest we will try to schedule a session.!

  •      J-Pole Construction. The best way to improve radio communications is to have a better antenna. If you are a ham radio operator, one of the best ways to get a better antenna is to build a j-pole! The j-pole antenna has been called "every ham's first construction project" because it is easy to build out of plumbing supplies available at any hardware store. In spite of the easy of construction and common materials, it is a very effective antenna -- and very rugged, too! Send an E-mail [email protected] if you are interested in this workshop. If there is enough interest we will try to schedule a session.
