After many years of scanning and monitoring I studied up and got my Technician ticket at the Mount Vernon ARC in Alexandria, VA.
I also picked up a new HT (the new Yaesu Tribander), and have started to have some QSOs over IRLP and on local repeaters.
Now I'm focusing on learning the code, and studying for the Element 3 exam with hopes to earn the General Class ticket.
