Ahhh... The latest... |
05/16/04 Greetings once again! I just got off the air from the
Sunday night net (8:30 each Sunday night). There were 13
check-ins tonight. What I always look forward to though, is the
meeting on the third Tuesday of the month. Before the actual meeting, some of
us will meet for dinner at a local restaurant. Just listen in, we decide on
the fly! On a more personal note, Jamie
and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on Wednesday, May 5,
2004. (Yay!) We went to a cabin locally for
the weekend to sort of “get away” without actually having to travel.
It was wonderful. And the one thing I really learned from the weekend…
I HAVE to get a hot tub! Those things have to be the most relaxing thing on
the planet. Perhaps I will update more
frequently! Deb KG4UGO ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am back! The X-mas
meeting/party was a great time. Many thanks to Dean for making the video CD!
I just want to know how he managed to NOT let the camera break since I was in
a picture… but, then again, maybe the camera DID break (I was the very
LAST picture shown!) We just had the last Sunday
night “net” of the year. Can you believe that 2004 is already
here??? One note of news from the net,
there is a new website for the club. http://www.gatewayarc.org
. It is still in its preliminary stages, but check
it out when you can. You can even get an email address there. WooHoo!!! Another fun thing that is NOT
ham related, here is a still-being-developed website about
the cancelled TV show Firefly http://stillflying.com
. Firefly was a fantastic show that was not given
a chance to succeed. I don’t
want to go on a rant about the morons who cancelled the show here, but let’s
just say, I’m not alone in my opinions. J I’ll close for now. Have
a Happy New Year! J
Deb KG4UGO --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know, I know. I am WAY
pathetic. I have this neato place to post stuff on
the “internet” and all I do is let it sit. Sorry. Sigh. My hubby, Jamie and I are
members of the Gateway Amateur Radio Club in The radio club also has a
Sunday night net… at They also do a “lunch
bunch” on Saturday afternoons, but I usually end up working and have to
miss the festivities. Oh, BTW, if you do want to
listen in and chat with us tune your radio to
146.91/31. Maybe I will come back here
soon and add more. Maybe I will add those pics that
I promised!!! 73 Deb KG4UGO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, so it took me a month to add anything to this site. I admit, that is WAY too long, but work tends to get in the way. I have a little 2 meter rig for my car now. It's fun to listen in on the repeater... And just to put it on a simplex frequency and chat with my Sweetie! He has been a ham for a lot longer than I have! His call is N4UKK and you can find a link to what he does on a regular basis on the left... That is also what I do when I have the time. I will try to add more info to this little site... Maybe some pictures... Of my hubby and I... and of our kitties! :) Until then, check back soon. If I figure out how to add a guestbook, I may do that... in the mean time, you can email me! Thanks for stopping by! 73 Deb -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/15/2002 I'm a new ham! I mean VERY new. I took the test on Saturday, July 13, 2002 (and passed :) and checked the FCC website at all hours of the night to find out what my call would be! WooHoo! As you could see by the top of the page, it is KG4UGO |

I am a new ham... and I am new to building a web page. My hubby (N4UKK) has been building GREAT pages for a long time, but I wanted to do this one myself. :) Have patience with me... this will come along eventually! Email me if you like... mailto:[email protected] |
