kg4rzh Amateur Home Page I received my Technician class license in March 2002, my General (5WPM) in April 2002, and my Amateur Extra in May 2002. I've been involved in the local scene off and on over the years,

I made my start with equipment loaned from a friend (Larry W3MGL) and also inherited from my grandfather who went Silent Key in 2001 (Russ W9ZPC). I used his TS-520S until this year, when I switched to an IC-735 loaned by my friend Bill NR4C. I've played with all the non-WARC bands up to 70 cm, but my most frequent activities have been contests and Field Day. I'm registered with SkyWarn but not active, and my most significant achievement was working comm for the James City County Rec Center shelter during Hurricane Isabel (September 2003)

I adopted my grandfater's callsign W9ZPC in April 2022, KG4RZH is now cancelled.
