Introduction

JavaScript is THE scripting language of the Web.
JavaScript is used in billions of Web pages to add functionality, validate forms, communicate with the server, and much more.

How do I turn on Javascript?

Here�s how to enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari.

Internet Explorer 6.X and lower:

Click the Tools menu along the top of the Explorer window.
Click Internet Options.
From the tabs along the top, click Security.
In the first box, Web content �Zone�, click Internet.
In the next box, �Security level for this zone�, click Custom Level.
In the window that opens, scroll down to the �Scripting� section, and under �Active scripting�, select �Enable�.
Click OK, then OK again. Exit and re-open the browser. Ready!

Internet Explorer 7:

Click the Tools menu along the top of the Explorer window.
Click Internet Options.
From the tabs along the top, click Advanced.
In the window that opens, scroll down about half way. Look for a coffee-cup symbol. Enable JavaScript!
Click OK, then OK again. Exit and re-open the browser. Ready!

Internet Explorer 9:
On web browser menu click "Tools" and select "Internet Options".
In the "Internet Options" window select the "Security" tab.
On the "Security" tab click on the "Custom level..." button.
When the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" dialog window opens, look for the "Scripting" section.
In the "Active Scripting" item select "Enable". When the "Warning!" window pops out asking "Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?" select "Yes".
In the "Internet Options" window click on the"OK" button to close it.
Click on the "Refresh" button of the web browser to refresh the page.
Click on the "Refresh" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!

Mozilla Firefox:
On the web browser click "Firefox" menu and then select "Options".
In the "Options" window select the "Content" tab.
Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
In the opened "Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it.
Click on the "Reload current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!

Firefox 4:
On the web browser menu click "Tools" and select "Options".
In the "Options" window select the "Content" tab.
Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
In the opened "Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it.
Click on the "Reload current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!

Google Chrome:
On the web browser menu click on the "Customize and control Google Chrome" and select "Settings".
In the "Settings" section click on the "Show advanced settings..."
Under the the "Privacy" click on the "Content settings...".
When the dialog window opens, look for the "JavaScript" section and select "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)". Click on the "OK" button to close it.
Close the "Settings" tab.
Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!

Opera v. 10:
On the web browser menu click "Tools" and select "Preferences".
In the "Preferences" window select the "Advanced" tab.
On the "Advanced" tab click on "Content" menu item.
Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
In the opened "Preferences" window click on the "OK" button to close it.
Click on the "Reload" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!

Apple Safari:
On the web browser menu click on the "Edit" and select "Preferences".
In the "Preferences" window select the "Security" tab.
In the "Security" tab section "Web content" mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
Click on the "Reload the current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page. Ready!
