KG4FVL QRP Portable
I was introduced to ham radio by K4KR and received my Technician
license in December of 1999. I upgraded to Tech Plus in April of
2000 and was granted my General license in April of 2001. Most
of my on the air time is on 2-meters during my two hour commute to
Birmingham, where I work as a Medicare Coordinator. I also spend
a limited amount of time operating on the HF bands. I also very
much enjoy talking to hams all over the world via a linked (EchoLink)
repeater here in the Birmingham area.
I am actively involved with the Birmingham
Amateur Radio Club (BARC) were I help with the BirmingHamfest each
year. I also love participating in club activities such as Field
Day.
