One of the places in the Universe that exists for absolutely no reason...

For those of you who don't know me and don't have the active brain cells to figure it out from the banner, my name is Gary, and I have been an No-Code Technician level licensed amateur radio operator since November 20, 1998. I have made alot of friends on the air, especially on the 145-350 repeater located in Dallas, NC, although all the books list it as Charlotte...

Icom 2100H - A Great Radio!

This is the Icom America IC2100H 2 meter mobile / base radio. I have one mounted in my Toyota Tacoma, and it is a great little rig. Mil-Std. 810 construction, 113 memory channels, hey, wait a minute, I sound like a freakin' commercial. Sorry, Icom, you can sell your own radios, but if you want a referral, you got it....to make a long story short, I love this radio!

I also use an ADI AT-600 handheld when I'm at work. It's a great little rig, too, but I really wish it had a metal case instead of plastic. If ADI were to get that radio a little closer to Mil-Std., I think they'd sell a lot more of them. Also, when I use this rig at home, I use a nice little J-pole antenna made especially for me by Kevin Pitts (KE4RCO)....thanks Kevin!!
