I traded for this one from my late friend Si Steinberg, who lived in Columbia, Missouri. I was not lucky enough to have had any envelopes already aboard the R/V Knorr at that time. The autograph on this envelope was personally obtained by me when Dr. Ballard was in Springfield, Missouri. He spoke at Evangel College on behalf of the Discovery Center, and it was a very interesting presentation.

Personally, I do not suspect there are more than a small handful of these envelopes even in existence, and my guess is that Dr. Ballard was too probably too busy on the day in question to sign few if any, autographs for collectors. The bold Dr. Ballard autograph makes this cover unique, and it has been estimated at a minimum of $100.00 value, and I have been offered well over that, but it's probably worth even more to a true Titanic fanatic. I love the remarks section of the cachet! That one single word says bundles...don't you agree? FOUND
