The old Holmes-Narver cachet still being used for Siple Station in 1986; this cover made quite a trip around the world enroute back to my oldest son! I give a special thanks to Lee Larson, HMC, USN, Ret., who was the person who signed this cover before it made its trip around the world! Polar philatelists owe a debt of gratitude to the selfless assistance folks like Lee have rendered to us over the years, and I am very grateful. As I recall this cover took almost two years to make it back home.
One of the final Siple Station covers I remember receiving.
