Hi,
This is Kevin Imel, KF7CN, x-KA7KGF.  QTH is Palouse, WA, DN16lv.

I was first licensed in 1981 as KA7KGF as a Novice while living in DN13 (Nampa ID).  Don, KA7T and Arden (x-WL7AFB and WE7X, now a SK - this call has been reassigned) were my elmers.  I upgraded to Technician in that same year, General in 1983 and Advanced in 1985.  In late 1985 I moved to DN16 (Moscow ID) to attend the University of Idaho.

While there, I was active out of the U of I club station W7UQ and served as the club President (2 years) and Vice-President (3 years).  During that time the club station relocated from the ancient WWII surplus communications trailer located behind the UCC to it's current location adjacent to the power plant at 6th and Line streets.  The old location is now just about dead center in the U of I Commons building.

In 1995 I moved to my current QTH where I intend to stay as long as possible.

I am active on 6 & 2m SSB/CW for MS, Au, Es and Tropo.
Station consists of a ICOM IC-746 or IC-706MkIIg driving a Teletec DXP-V175 to a M**2 2M18XXX at 25 feet for 2M and to a vertical and a KB6KQ Loop for 6M (although this will change someday soon).

On 432 I run a IC-706MkIIg driving a RF Concepts 100W amp to a 11 el beam of WA5VJB design.

During the major VHF contests look for me as KF7CN/R on 50, 144, 432, 1296 and laser.  I hope to add 222 for the January 2005 contest.

I am currently not available for MS skeds although I hope to return on SSB and WSJT during most minor and all major showers in December 2004.  Email me with sked requests ([email protected]).  I QSL 100% for all received cards.  No SASE needed but if you are in a hurry, a SASE tends to get faster results.  :-)
