Hi and welcome to my homepage. I have been a ham operater for about a year now and I have really enjoyed the hobby, to me it is the best their is. Getting into Ham Radio is not all that hard. The first thing you need to do, is to find a Local Ham Club near your area. Contact them by Phone, Internet or a Elmer. An Elmer is a Ham Operater who is willing to help get you involed in Ham Radio. By answering any qustion you might have about the hobbie. There are lots of good books you can find that will help you prepare for an exam. There are presently five classes of licnse, Novice, Technichan, Genral, Advance, Advance-Extra. There are lot's of website that can give information on the hobbie. Radio Shack offers Study Books and Morse Code Tapes that can help you prepare for your exam. Super Morse is a good program that will teach you Morse Code. That what I used to help me get my ticket.
