I am new to ham radio, having gotten my technician license on June 8, 1998. I am in the process of going for my code and hope to pass this time. Right now my ham shack consists of a cardboard box on my book shelf, my framed license on the wall, a Radio Shack HT-202 and and ADI-146 2 meter mobile rig. Thanks to the good folks at the Sumter Amateur Radio Association, I have acquired the knowledge to progress in the ham radio field, and plan on doing so.

My son, KF4YUM, got his license at the same time as me. He also got his Boy Scout Amateur Radio Merit Badge by passing the test. Next step for him is Eagle!

I look forward to the day when I can tune up 10 or 20 meters, and maybe chat with one of you. Until then - 73.
