Welcome to the home page of KF4WIE. I am located in Emerald Isle, NC. The grid cord. are:34.40N 77.1W. Emerald Isle is located in Carteret County, North Carolina on the southern outer banks. My IOTA number is NA067 and the US Island is NC010s.You can see more of where I live at my other home page featuring the coast of North Carolina. I have enjoyed Amateur Radio very much since coming back into the hobby. In 1980, I was licensed KA4NEW, but lost interest in the hobby. In 1998, I purchased the Yaesu FT-102, which I am still using, from a CB shop in Indiana, while driving a truck for a living. After admiring the rig, I decided not to waste it on the 11 meter band, so I studied hard and was licensed KF4WIE in 1998. You can find me quite often on 75 meters in the evenings on 3.919 or 17 meters during the days I am at the house.
