Hams Having Fun in Kentucky, 2000

For the third consecutive year, members of the Eastern Amateur Radio Society and the Wilderness Trail Amateur Radio Club joined together to work Field Day. This year, we changed our location to Model Laboratory School on the Eastern Kentucky University campus in Richmond, Kentucky. Fewer bugs, more shade, a good breeze and more access to the public certainly increased the comfort of the operating location, although band conditions were not as good as in previous years. Oh, well, there's always next year and the chance to try again!
