Welcome to the my Amateur Radio Home Page! Right now there’s not much here, the site
is new—but check back as it grows! A bit of background: I’ve been a ham since 1976, starting as
N7AVF (in Las Vegas, NV), then KD6PV (in San Francisco, CA), and finally
KE8HH (in Hanover, MI). I first upgraded to Advanced Class in 1976 and
upgraded to Extra just before the new rules went into effect in 2000. My primary interests are in HF work, both
phone and digital modes, particularly SSTV and PSK-31. I’m a semi-retired college professor
(sociology, psychology, political science, minority studies & criminal
justice) with way too many degrees (2-PhDs, 2-MAs, MS, MBA [CIS]—yes I am a compulsive student :) and a lifelong
commitment to human rights and public service. |
