GENERAL CLASS AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE

UNDER CONSTRUCTION, A VERY EARLY WORK IN PROGRESS

Also, trying to learn how to build a web page using just a text editor.

So, this will probably be a long, slow process.

In the mean time, this should take you to the ARRL

I received my first ham license September 14, 1993 as a Technician Plus, having passed the Morse Code requirements. I am now licensed as a General Class ticket holder, and am enjoying HF privileges on my old Kenwood TS-50.

I have an MFJ antenna analyzer that will help me tune antennas I intend to home brew.

I also have a packet radio system set up on 2 meters, and am a member of EARN, the Edison Amateur Radio Network that has a great repeater system set up mainly on 220 MHz. We have a Net that runs every Thursday night at 8 pm that I try to check in to as much as I can. It helps keep my equipment functional, and I am alerted to any problems or deficiencies that way.

I enjoy melding 2 of my hobbies together, ham radio and computers. Packet radio and PSK31 are examples of this. I am retired now, so it is my expectation that I will be delving deeper into ham radio, and other projects. I will start posting more as I start doing more projects.
