Mission Statement
To establish and maintain an active ARES organization to serve Roane County, Tennessee whenever there is a need for emergency communications and assistance. To work with the Roane County 911 system, The Roane County Emergency Management Agency, The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, all local law enforcement agencies, and participate, and assist in all drills, and emergency situations when needed to provide backup emergency communications. To establish a general plan of action to deal with emergency situations. To participate in the ARRL National Traffic System in passing traffic in an emergency situation whenever needed. To establish a recognized community presence, serving the community in the highest ideals, and standards of the Amateur Radio Service, and the ARRL.
