MCARES Purpose

MCARES will, to the best of our ability, provide emergency communications when requested by Muskingum County EMA and other served agencies.

2010 SKYWARN® Training being held on April 29 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency.

2010 Field Day is June 26-27. Begins at 2 p.m. on Sat. and goes for 24 hours. Planned event location to be Colony Square Mall parking lot.

The Beginning

The ARES® logo, “Amateur Radio Emergency Service®” and “ARES®” are registered service marks of the American Radio Relay League The MCARES group is hard at work developing the county's communication plan. At the last meeting with the EMA director, a timeline was created and jobs delegated.

MCARES would like to Thank the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency for providing our organization with 15 ANSI 207 certified public safety vests.
