What's new? The cable on my crankup winch broke and everthing on the tower is scrap! Fortunately I wasn't on the tower.....now I know why they say to never climb a crank up tower when it's up! Damage Pictures

 

KD8CP REPEATER

 

 

 

The KD8CP repeater operating on 444.625 Mhz is located on the 92nd street hill south of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

My repeater is located on the same tower as the main site of the IRA repeater system. For more information on the IRA system visit their site at www.w8hvg.org.

My current home station consists of :

Radios: Kenwood TS2000, Yeasu FT736, Kenwood TS940
Ameritron AL1200
Microphones: Heil Goldline, HM4, Heil Pro headset with HM4, Kenwood MC60A
Antennas: Sommer 707 (40m thru 6 meter, no 30 meter) KLM 2m and 70cm satalite, Hygain hitower ground mounted 40m 1/4 wave vertical with 1/2 wave horizontal section added to top, with 5 radials for 40m
Towers & Rotors: Hygain HG55HD crank up, Hygain Ham IV, Yeasu elevation rotor
Misc, MFJ 572B mulitmode, MFJ tuner, Ameritron remote switch box, tower mount preamps for 2m and 70cm

Collection of misc. older broadcast and short wave/ham radios, including Kenwood 599D pair.

 

I'm located in Byron Center, Michigan, just south of Grand Rapids, on the west side of the state.
