Utah Communications

Utah Comm, also known as Alpha Communication Sites, Inc., is the oldest radio shop in the area. They have long been designated by Motorola as an MSS. In the days before Nextel, they operated at least two Motorola format 800 MHz trunked systems on Little Farnsworth with a huge subscriber base and volume of traffic, as well as systems on other northern Utah sites.

Today, I am only aware of one 900 MHz Motorola system that they operate from Little Farnsworth, as well as 5 channels in the 454 MHz range, and 5 channels in 900, using the Trident Passport format (an enhanced form of LTR, especially suited for linking multiple sites).

The following information has been determined by monitoring, decoding control data, and consulting license records.
