900 MHz MPT1327 Trunking Protocol

With full duplex operation, using telephone style handsets, this system operates in a very similar manner to the old analog cellular networks. To hear both sides of the conversation, you will either need two receivers, a receiver which can switch back and forth between an offset (-39 MHz), or to come up with your own creative method of scanning.

Programs are available for decoding MPT-1327 control channels, but unless you are interested in following one specific bus, they aren't really necessary. Text messages, usually containing flextrans rider's names, can be received by monitoring the control channel.
