Welcome all to the Elmer's net home page.
This page was started so that new hams could find out information on the
hobby, and get questions answered, wherever they are. So I hope you enjoy,

How to use this page.
I have the page broken up in to several parts, each one devoted to a part
of the hobby. As of now, there are 4 sub-pages: The CW Cafe, The Packitree's
Hub, Elmer's Shop, and the "welcome to the Hobby" page.
The CW Cafe is a page totally devoted to CW and the HF bands. This is
the page to find information on ways to learn CW, how to set up antennas,
and what are good radios and bad radios.
The first part of this page is News, a place to info on up to date solar
conditions, what the FCC is doing in regards to the HF bands, and what contests
are going and where.
The next part is the learning center, which is the biggest of this collection.
The learning center has info on New Radios, Old Radios, Antennas, and How
to Learn CW, which is the most asked question of ham radio newbies.
This page is all about digital modes!! Yes the most advertise frontier
in amateur radio. This page covers all of the modes from RTTY to Packet to
PSK31, and more!! One small collection will be given to each mode, so that
you can find the most information on each mode possible.
Each Mode Collection will have a Band plane, Description, and How to section
to it. This way there is nothing left out.
This is the place to ask all of your really hard question. This collection
we be all about the really techy side of the hobby. You may ask "What do
you mean techy?" Well that's up to you!! This will be where I keep a database
of all the questions asked during our on air nets in Spokane on the
KBARA system
, and all the questions I get sent to me via e-mail. You can also find
out how to become an Elmer and help me out, I don't every thing.
This is a page all about hobby of Ham Radio, how it got started, where
it has been, and where you can fit in. It also has information on how to become
a ham, and how to get involved in the hobby. I hope this inspires all you
to help get our hobby alive!!
