Amateur Radio Callsign: KD6KPC

I have been licensed as a Technician since June of 1992. I enjoy the VHF and UHF frequencies and currently have no desire to upgrade. I am most interested in emergency and safety communications. I am National Weather Service certified for weather spotting, though I haven't lived much in areas where I could exercise my abilities. I own a Kenwood TM-733A dual band mobile transceiver operational in the 2-meter/70-cm bands and an Alinco DJ-F1T handheld 2-meter transciever. I have been very satisfied with the Kenwood rig and have opted for the remote mounting option. The Alinco has been less than impressive, featuring several bugs. I would never buy another Alinco radio. I also use a Larsen window mount antenna. It has held satisfactory, even with the minimal signal loss created by this configuration.
