The law says that you are not to listen to things such as, encrypted transmissions, Phone conversations that are held via traditional wireless means IE Cordless and/or Cell phones (excluding Ham radio autopatch). You are not to divulge any accidental information of a conversation to anyone else. Some states outlaw mobile operation of scanners without a valid permit and/or amateur operator (HAM) Radio liscence. Best thing to do is to check the laws before scanning or listening |
