Local Amateur Radio Class and VE Testing Schedules

Amateur Radio exams sessions are held on a periodic basis in the Wise and Jack County areas. As these schedules are announced they will be posted here.

The VE team is required to check two forms of identification before you enter the test room. This includes your ORIGINAL Amateur Radio Licesnse, if you have one. You also bring a photocopy of your license and a photocopy any Certificates of Successful Completion A photo ID is best for the second form of ID, but is not required by the FCC. Other acceptable forms of ID include a drivers license, a birth certificate, or some other such document.

Note: There is currently a charge to cover VE expenses and is payable on test day. This amount of charge may change on an annual basis. The charge for the year 2001 are not available as yet. Last year it was $6.40.

Technician Class Announcement

A No Code Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator class will be held in Runaway Bay, Texas begining on January 20, 2001. This class will be free of charge however students will be required to purchase a text book. The class will run six consecutive weeks and conclude with a VE Testing session. Class hours are 1:30PM to 3:30 PM. To enroll or for further information please call:
