The Wise & Jack County Emergency Communication Team is a group of Amateur Radio Operators and others, who provide emergency communications service to various agencies in time of emergency. The Team also supports the National Weather Service with SKYWARN information from Wise and Jack County during severe weather via an Amateur Radio network on the amateur radio 2 meter band. The Team provides these services as a non-profit corporation located in North Texas.
The Team is always interested in new members. If you live in Wise or Jack County in North Texas and are interested in Amateur Radio we would like to hear from you. Non Amateur Radio operators are welcome also. Classes to become an Amateur Radio Operator are planned. SKYWARN classes will also be starting soon.
