Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club® was originally founded in the early 1950's.  Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club® (TSARC®) is the oldest, continuously active amateur radio club supplying uninterrupted community service to the citizens and amateur radio operators of the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
Located in Harlingen near South Padre Island and Mexico, TSARC® provides community service and auxiliary emergency  communications for the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
  The Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is not affiliated with the Tri-States Amateur Radio Club, Inc., or the TSARC, Inc., Incorporated, Amateur Radio Club.

® and Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club® are official registered assumed names with the County Clerk's Office for use in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy counties of Texas for the Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club, Inc.   Any use of the acronym "TSARC" or the name "Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club" by any organization, club or entity within the Rio Grande Valley of Texas other than the Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is a violation of the laws of the State of Texas and is punishable in accordance with the Texas State Civil Statutes.

 

Designated as a special service club since 1975, TSARC® is a recognized amateur radio club by the National Association of Amateur Radio, Inc. (aka ARRL) and TSARC® members have been continuously active in Emergency Communications, Education, Amateur Radio License Testing and the Expansion of Amateur Radio as both a hobby and public service entity throughout its existence. 

TSARC® helps to maintain 3 repeaters and is part of the RIOLINK® system of the EARTH Amateur Radio Club that is used for valley wide communication and nets.
