Field Day is a 24 hour contest to see how many ham radio contacts can be made under field conditions. It is sponsored by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL); they make the rules and tally the scores. There are different categories based on how "in the field" the station is. The contest serves to test the emergency communications skills and abilities of ham radio groups (and individuals) in North America. Hams across the country set up on the same weekend each year to participate in this exciting contest.
We ran a contest style operation (2A) from the top of Brock Mountain.
Official rules of the contest will be posted on the ARRLWeb.
