The BARC is a general interest ham radio club serving Batesville and the surrounding area.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month at the Citizens Bank of Batesville Annex Building at 7:00 p.m. (local time).
The Batesville Area Radio Club has an open repeater at 147.270 MHz with a + offset
(no tone required but with optional 186.2 CTCSS).
The BARC has been an ARRL affiliated club since 8-12-1991 and proudly participates in the ARES and RACES organizations.
The BARC participates in annual events such as the ARRL's Field Day Event, Batesville's White River Water Carnival, and [starting in 2006 for us] the Boy Scouts' National Invitational White River Canoe Race.
We recommend the ARRL's new "Hello" Radio pages for general information about ham radio (written for the non-ham).
The BARC offers ham radio license courses, the entry level license course and license upgrade courses.
New hams (and many experienced hams) might find our new ham page helpful.
The BARC has purchased the domain name batesvillehams.org and has another set of pages at that URL.
