Hi ya'll. I was stationed at Keesler from '81 to '85 and retired from the USAF in '93. Got my ticket on the coast, KA5MWD in '81 and later N1CLS, and KB1LW. Got WK1V a few years after I left there and then currently call W6ZF which belonged to my Uncle USAF Ret. Col. Ron Martin for many years. I try to catch up on what's happening on the Gulf Coast every now and then. I was good friends with Miss Bea (WD5JXT) and Walt (W5SGL). I can still hear Walt signing, "Walter's Five Sweet Gorgious Ladies." I'm so glad to see his call sign being used by the club. He had phonetics for everyone..especially after my wife had twins at Keesler and Walt dubbed me K-A-5-"Many Wet Diapers." I upgraded from Novice to General shortley thereafter and changed my call...hi hi. I sure do miss you folks down there. Must say that of all the places I've lived the friendliest folks in this country live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast....that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!!
