            GENERAL COVERANGE IN TRANSMISSION.


1) Remove the top and the bottom cover of the transceiver.

2) Remove all the final power amplifier module.

3) Now , you will see the PLL-UNIT.

4) On the PLL-UNIT, near the CPU called IC8 and between the pin DB3 and
   the output pin Y2 of the CPU (IC8), find the diode D5.

5) The diode D5 is not an SMD component.

6) Cut the diode D5.

7) Relocate the final Power Amplifier and the two (top and bottom) covers.

8) Reset the transceiver pusching the MW and FUNC. taste at the same time
   with the POWER taste.

....The ICOM IC-728 will transmitt now from 1,6 to 30 Mhz.!!!
