HI.
I have find a secret function on mine IC-290E,
if you put it in duplex mode and set duplex to 0.0Mhz,transmit and
move the VFO under 144mhz or over 146mhz the transiver will go to 
receiving mode and then you can receive signals from 136-144Mhz and
146-154Mhz.
NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PTT PUSHED DOWN WHEN YOU ARE RECEIVING.

If you try,make sure you doesnt interfer.
I hope someone will have use fore this funktion.
