Ham Radio Community Chapter Ham Audio News
From KD4SAI and the RSGB resources

Here at the Ham Radio Community Chapter I like to share some world wide Ham Radio news to keep you informed of what is happening around the globe, KD4SAI.  Roland
You
will need RealAudio 5. You can obtain a FREE player for this
at the Real Audio site. Just click on the real Audio image aside.

For the last year
these broadcasts, read by Jeremy Boot, G4NJH, have also been available
on this page in RealAudio. So you can hear them any time
to suit you on the links below.

All you need to do
is to click on the RealAudio logo and - hey presto - assuming
you have installed RealAudio, that's it. You can save the
file(s) by clicking on the link in the right hand column. But beware of
this: the files are large. Far better (and cheaper) to listen to what you
want "live".

The
Effect of the RealAudio Bulletins

 Although
the idea was to provide fellow amateurs with a convenient new service,
there have been some surprising extra spin offs:

  • The bulletins are now heard much more widely than before
  • You can hear them at any time
  • They are useful to those with visual impairment
  • They are carried world wide by other Radio Amateur News Services
  • They are heard "live" on Sundays on Internet Gateways
In addition, excerpts
of the News are now carried many weeks by US, Canada, Australia and South Africa Amateur Radio Society news services and also by some Commercial Radio DX news programmes such as those on HCJB in Ecuador!

 Since March 2000,
this Real Audio edition has also been transmitted over
431.075MHz
by
G7WFM
in the Nottingham area on Sundays at 10.30am local time.
This is with the express permission of the RSGB
who make available its service to all Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners.

All
parts of the News are read to you, and the Midlands
regional (club) news for local listeners on 70cms. If anyone else wishes
to make use of the Real Audio files for their own use, please feel free
to do so, but they should not be edited or changed in any way because of
their Copyright which remains with the RSGB.

The bulletins are in
four parts and you should be able to receive them in Streaming Audio,
without delay, by clicking on the RealAudio Logo.
