Field Day
June 27, 2009

Second Stop:  Wilkes County
Wilkesboro, North Carolina

Wilkes Community College Campus

Arrival Time: 5:15 P.M.

Was easy to fined, except for a locked gate that kept us from driving up to their Field Day
site.  Never fear another road
access, let us to the site.  They had 2 station going and was busy.  David (ND4MR) was our tour guide.  They had several
folk that was there earlier but left and were scheduled to return shortly.  Notice the creek in the picture a few weeks ago
their site was under 3 to 4 feet of water.  A major road (SR-421) was partially washed out as a result of the high water.
Water come faster out of the Mountain.

Notice that they did have a fan but it was not on.  You don't need a fan in the Mountains.
