Field Day

Fourth Stop: Iredell County
Statesville, North Carolina - McClure Park
Arrival Time: 3:04 P.M.
Field Day was say on the air at my
arrival time. They had Boy Scout Troop 171 on hand. They were
working on their Merit Badge. There plan is to get some radio time this
afternoon. Look like an Educational
Activity and Youth element, not that I'm counting point. The important
thing is this young group may have
a couple of Ham's in it, the growth of the future. Talked with Mr. C.W.,
Don (W4DON) and Dennis (N4WHK)
the Iredell County EC on what
they expected to happen today, they thought they would be a 5A station.
Lots
of help coming today later on.
DEC Russell was due any minute so waited about another hour before I left.
Good group and a good feeling on their involvement with the Scouts.
